our easter time

I realise that I don't actually have that many pictures to share with you of Easter. We had a really lovely few days, but I left my camera sitting and just enjoyed it for what is was.

We have been spoiled by friends, family and neighbours: Shouldn't take too long to get through that little lot lol!

After our own wee egg hunt in the garden the kids painted some hard boiled eggs.

We put these into a basket we made of bread, we added tiny chicks and easter eggs and brought them next door to our dear neighbour.

Before lunch we had a 'tears free' egg hunt with Buddies, we did this last year too and it continues to work so well.

On Monday it rained and rained and rained. We stayed in most of the day and we amused ourselves making our own board game. It is based on this book:

One of our current favourites :-)
We made our game pieces,

and we drew 40 squares on a sheet of cardboard. Every couple of space we put in an 'extra' based on the story like for example: 'Meet the fox, miss a go' or 'Build a shelter, go forwards two squares'.

It was great fun to play...well until Joa decided he absolutely had to sit on the board and nowhere else would do!

I don't feel I have much else to say right now, apart from life is good, sweet, calm and special and I hope it is for you too :-) x x
